Using a broadlink rm4 mini - Configuration - Home Assistant Community

A lot of discussion on this last year, but not finding much recently. I’m new to HA and have an RM4 mini with the temp sensor attachment. The Broadlink integration found it and set up the sensor, and it works. The IR remote was identified as such but is just a ‘switch’. I don’t know yet how to learn and send IR codes through HA. Was I supposed to get more support from the integration, or must I do everything through YAML, scripts and code? I’m just looking around for the bottom rung of the
