The Crew series may not have been perfect but it
The Crew series may not have been perfect but it's always had a special place in our hearts and we're very happy to finally cover The Crew Motorfest, the latest episode that takes us back to Hawaii, 17 years after Test Drive Unlimited. The Playlist system is a great idea that seems to make progression more appealing than in the past, and though the game is clearly taking its inspiration from the Forza Horizon franchise, this gives it something special that makes it a bit unique in its own way. True, as in most car racing games set in open worlds, the different characters can never shut up, but it's nice to hear them give us some anecdotes about cars or motorsport history when competing against the AI. It's not as thorough as Gran Turismo 7 mind you, but it's a nice touch anyway. Choosing the expert handling also makes the driving more fun and interesting from what's we've seen so for now, we're pretty satisfied with what we've seen. Now keep in mind that we've only played the game for a couple of hours so these are just first impressions. Inside, you'll find a gameplay video of the PlayStation 5 version, but since Ubisoft gave us access to all platforms, you can count on us for covering them all this week.
